Amazing compilation-the first time on vinyl-since the
"Cologne Curiosities" incl. songs that were first released in cd
collections titled "Unknown Deutschland - The Krautrock Archive",
1996 by Virgin. Toby Robinson, known to Krautrock circles by serving as sound
engineer in the Stockhausen's WDR and Dierks studio in Cologne, where
among other things he recorded for Can, Birth Control, Mythos etc! The
recordings on this compi were made between '72 -'76 by relatively unknown group
without missing and well known persons to Krautrock sound, but here they were
with nicknames, groups which created in the studio and
jamming for fun! Here we have excellent examples of krautrock by Astral Army
and the more psych Spirulina and blending sounds with enough interest such as
space ambient by Neil Andersen, Ten to Zen, Fuerrote, proto -dark new wave of
Chronos and kraut-blues (!! !) by Baal.
Exciting interesting collection which is highly
recommended.

συλλογή –πρώτη φορά σε βινύλιο-μιας και το “Cologne Curiosities” περιέχει τραγούδια τα οποία είχαν
πρωτοκυκλοφορήσει σε cd συλλογές με τον τίτλο "Unknown Deutschland - The Krautrock Archive", το 1996 από την Virgin. Ο Toby Robinson, γνωστός στους Krautrock κύκλους από την θητεία του ως μηχανικός
ήχου στο στούντιο Stockhausen’s WDRand Dierks στην Κολωνία, όπου μεταξύ άλλων
ηχογράφησε για τους Can,
Birth Control, Mythos κλπ! Οι ηχογραφήσεις για αυτή τη συλλογή
έγιναν μεταξύ ’72-’76 από σχετικά άγνωστα γκρουπ χωρίς φυσικά να λείπουν και
άτομα γνωστά στους Krautrock ήχους, εδώ όμως με ψευδώνυμα και τέλος, σχήματα που
δημιουργήθηκαν μες στο στούντιο και τζάμαραν για χαβαλέ! Εδώ μέσα υπάρχουν
εξαιρετικά δείγματα Krautrock από τους Astral Army και τους πιο psych Spirulina
και ηχητικά παντρέματα με αρκετό ενδιαφέρον όπως είναι space ambient από τους Neil Andersen, Ten to Zen, Fuerrote, πρωτόλειο dark new wave από τους Chronos και kraut-blues (!!!) από τους Baal.
Συναρπαστικά
ενδιαφέρουσα συλλογή η οποία συνιστάται ανεπιφύλακτα.
